JB Barbour | Well, we have made it to the end of our journey. Hats off to the planner of this tour. It was very nice. Reflecting over these flights just brings back memories of my sitting here in front of this PC at the FS for 20 years. I have flown Sim, for well over 6000 hrs. No matter what Software or Hardware has changed over the years. My passion for flying hasn\'t. From a quote, \"...and once you have tasted flight, you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been and there you long to return....\" -Leonardo DaVinci - This holds true today. No matter what the world was like 20 years ago, the weather outside. All seemed just right flying on my sim. It was a peace that I found, just like I did this morning as these flights were going to an end. The red eye trying to complete the last leg before bed or work. For me it\'s not just a cool thing to do, with the hum of the speakers, like a kid imaging a different place and time. This is what the Sim has been to me. Flying this Tour has been a Fairchild Metro III. Very sleck, roomy, ease to control and mostly very fast. It has a nice long range for a prop. But for the final flight I would change up a bit. I cut my teeth on a Cessna 182 in 2008. So I guess is only right to end this Tour with a Cessna. God speed to all. LLAP |
